Eligibility 

You may be eligible  for services if your goal is to become employed and: You have a physical or mental disability and your disability results in a significant barrier to employment. We can help if you need employment services to get or keep a job and achieve your employment goals.

Prescreened Referrals

Applicant screening to assure that only interested and qualified candidates are considered.

Education Seminars

Arc staff can help educate supervisors and co-workers about working with someone
with a disability.

Reduced Training Costs

Trainers are available at no cost or liability to the employer to assure that the highest standards of quality and safety are met.  This can include additional training at the employer’s request for job duty expansion or additional skill requirements.

We work closely with employers to understand and meet their recruiting, hiring, and retention needs for successful outcomes.

Ridge Area Arc Employment Services provides for qualified individuals:

  • Job placement
  • Work experience opportunities
  • Employability skills training
  • Job coaching
  • Follow-along service, as needed

 All job seekers go through a screening process to determine their interests, skills, and abilities and Arc matches those to the job most
suited to them
.

This comprehensive service is offered to job seekers by providing placement and training services to meet entry-level job requirements.  This service is provided at no cost to the employer or employee.

Referrals for employment services are received from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, the school system, and private pay individuals.
