Are you creative? Do you like throwing parties and being part of the community? Then Ridge Area Arc’s Development Director Position is for you. Below is a list of a few of the job duties.

  • Insure that the agency newsletter, web-site, and face book page are positive representations of the Arc.
  • Represent Arc through speaking engagements, personal facility tours and involvement in the business community.
  • Maintain an organized marketing campaign for the agency including continual update of promotional materials including brochures, power point presentations and any other relevant material.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the media.
  • Guarantee that contributors are thanked for their support.
  • Cultivate prospective contributors through personal visits, telephone, written communication email, face book and web-site.
  • Insure that the yearly budgeted net amount for the development department is secured.
  • Create and implement fund raising events throughout the year.
  • Appeal to corporations, private foundations, County Commissioners, and individuals.
  • Identify and write grants for the Ridge Area Arc.

Adult Day Training Specialist II

Adult Day Training Specialist II

This position is responsible for providing individual and group training activities to promote independent life skills.  The duties performed on a regular basis include but are not limited to supervision, medication administration, documentation, attending behavioral meetings, and assist individuals with self-care skills including eating, drinking, dressing, grooming and toileting as needed.  Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school. Must pass a level 2 background screening and drug test.  Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License with a 5 year driving record.  Full time (35 hours/week), Monday – Friday.

Residential Assistant III

Provide care to individuals residing in our group home including the day to day operation of the home. The duties performed on a regular basis include but are not limited to supervision of the residents, assisting them with daily needs (i.e., eating, getting dressed, bathing, etc.), preparing meals, social activities, training, transporting in company vehicle, medication administration, documentation and all household duties needed to maintain a clean and safe home. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school. Must pass a level 2 background screening and drug test.  Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License with a 5 year driving record.  Full Time and Part Time. All Shifts available.

This position is responsible for the day to day operation of the residence to include but not limited to all supervisory functions to a team of 5 staff and provide direct care as needed to meet the needs of the residents.  Ensure the group home meets and maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies.  Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, education, behavioral or rehabilitative science or related degree OR an Associate’s degree (or two years of college from an accredited college or university) plus two years of direct experience in working with people with disabilities OR one year of college plus three years of direct experience OR a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school plus 4 years direct professional experience in working with people with disabilities.  Must pass a level 2 background screening including local screening and drug test. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license, a 5 year driving record and reliable transportation with current registration and insurance.  Rotating on-call. Full Time (40 hours/week)
